Happy Saturday, Pradip! It's great to hear that you're interested in joining the TD Family, and we'll be more than happy to help you get started.
Before we begin, we're happy to announce that even if you are not currently a U.S. Citizen, you're more than welcome to open a TD Bank account! In order to do so, we ask that you please visit a TD Store location in the United States, during lobby hours. For your convenience, we have provided a link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR with all of our Store locations, as well as their hours and contact information.
We offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts to fit everyone needs, and you're welcome to take a look before your visit. If you were hoping to open a Checking account, feel free to take a look at the link here: https://go.td.com/2hbuGjJ for a list of our current Checking products. If you believe that a Savings account may better fit your needs, check out this link: https://go.td.com/2bSlkVn. If you're unsure, or if you would prefer a personalized recommendation, feel free to use our Selector tool here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E.
Once you're ready to visit a TD Store to open your new account, please be sure to bring two forms of ID with you. One form must be a valid non-U.S. passport with photo, or valid non-U.S. passport and Visa with photo, and the second form you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We would also like to recommend that you contact your preferred Store before your visit to ensure that you may have any required documents for the specific account you wish to open.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly so we can further assist you! You may reach a Banking Specialist at 1-888-751-9000, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As you stated that you are currently in Nepal, you may also reach us by calling collect, with operator assistance, by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
Thanks for coming to TD Helps today, Pradip. Enjoy your weekend!
