Good morning, Ramon!
This is a great question, and we'll be more than happy to help.
Here at TD Bank, we do offer the ability to have person to person transfers both debited and credited from your Personal Deposit account! However, as you mentioned that your friend was looking to inquire as to whether this service is offered by their financial institution, we'd like to recommend that they connect with their bank for further assistance with this transfer.
In the event that your friend's financial institution is not able to assist them with their transfer, we'd like to go over TD Bank's Send Money feature in a bit more detail; just in case this may be something you'd like to take advantage of.
Our Send Money feature allows for person to person transfers to be both sent and requested right from your Online Banking, with no fee assessed. If you'd like to learn more, we have provided a link here: https://go.td.com/2q2Yodj.
Should you wish to initiate a Send Money transfer, we'll be happy to walk you through the steps. First, you'll want to log into your online banking, which you can do from here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet signed up for online banking, don't worry! You can start the enrollment process by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To fully enroll, you will need your debit card number, account number, an email address, and your Social Security Number.
Once you have gained access to your online banking, to access our Send Money feature, simply click the 'Send Money' tab. If this is your first time using TD Bank's Send Money feature, you may need to accept some terms and agreements, and once you're done, you'll be brought directly to this feature's page. From here, you can send money to anyone, split a transfer, or even request funds from your friend directly.
To request funds, first, you'll want to click on the 'Request' tab. Then, if you haven't' yet added your friend to your contacts, click 'Add New Contact'. Their first and last name will be required, and if you'd like, you can also give them a nickname. Next, in order to request funds from your friend, you will need to include their phone number, or even an email address, then select 'Save'.
Next, find their name in your contacts, and then select either their phone number or email address, whichever method you choose when entering their information. You will then be asked to select the amount you wish to receive, as well as the account you would like the funds credited to. After this has been completed, select 'Review' and after confirming the information on the following page you'll be able to simply complete your request
It's important to note that when funds are requested, depending on whether you selected to add their phone number or email, your friend will receive a text or email with instructions on how they may proceed to have the funds credited directly to your account.
If you have any trouble at all with our Send Money feature, please don’t hesitate to connect with a Specialist from our Tech Support Team, as they are always happy to help, 24/7. To reach a Specialist, simply dial 800-493-7562.
We hope you found this information helpful, Ramon.
Enjoy your weekend, and take care!
