I would like to open a bank account at TD Bank. But i am wondering if as a student, I can also apply for a credit card. Do i have to have another type of bank account?

Being financially responsible is important at any age and we're pleased that you're considering TD Bank for your Student account! We're happy to go over the details needed to open the account.
If you are a Student between the ages of 18-24, you may open an account a number of ways: you're welcome to visit a TD location, set it up online or give us a call! If you decide to stop by a TD Store, this link will help you find us easier: http://bit.ly/TDStores. To open the account online, visit: http://bit.ly/Wczmq0, once there, you may click on the "Open Account" button in the TD Student section. Additionally, you're invited to call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 for assistance with the account opening.
If you are under the age of 18, you may open a joint Checking or Savings Account with a Guardian or Custodian by visiting any TD Bank Store. Please keep in mind that the Guardian or Custodian will need to provide a valid form of identification such as a State License, State ID or Passport. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include; School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.

Once we receive your application, you should expect to receive a decision via mail within 7-10 business days after the application is submitted.
