Welcome to TD Helps, Karla and we appreciate your visit! We are happy to help with your auto loan.
If you currently have an automatic payment deduction established through your auto loan, the date of your payment withdrawal is the same as your monthly Due Date.
If you would like to change the Due Date for your Auto Loan with TD Bank, a request can be made right over the phone by contacting a dedicated Financial Solutions Group Specialist 24/7 at 800-937-5020. You can also request this form to be mailed via fax. You may fax your request directly to our Consumer Research Department at 207-755-4403 and please include:
- Your name
- Your account number
- Your specific request to change the due date including the new date requested
- Your signature
Please keep in mind that you must have already made the first payment to your loan, and the due date can be changed to any date no later than the 25th of the month. Once the request is made either by phone or fax, Note Modification paperwork will be mailed to your address on file for your signature. Typically, your request will be processed and completed within 5-7 business days.
Please note, if your automatic payments are made via transfer through your TD Bank Online Banking account, the payment can be modified after logging in. Please start here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, and after entering your username and password, please find the Transfers tab at the top and follow these steps. We recommend cancelling your transfer series and establishing a new set to ensure the changes take place as you expect.
- Click on the “Transfer” tab at the top of your screen
- Click on the Scheduled Transfers tab
- Click on Edit, which is blue and underlined next to the transfer you wish to cancel
- Select Cancel this series
- Click Submit
Once this is completed, you may use the same tab to create a new transfer with the updated payment date of your preference.
If the payment is scheduled via TD Bank Bill Pay, you can modify your recurring payment with these steps:
- Click on the Bill Pay tab located at the top of your screen
- Click on the Manage Your Bills tab
- Select the appropriate biller from the Biller Name list
- Select the option Update automatic payment from the What would you like to do? list
- Make the appropriate changes and click the Save Changes button
- Click Ok
If your Auto Loan is through TD Auto Finance, please contact a TD Auto Finance Representative. They are available Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
We hope this information is useful to you, Karla! Thanks for your question and stop by again anytime.
