Thanks for connecting with us here at TD Helps, Toni. We would be glad to help.
At TD Bank, a single safe deposit box can be rented by two or more Customers, who both sign a contract at the time the box is rented.
If a joint safe deposit box is opened, please keep in mind that any one renter is allowed access alone, and any one renter has control of all the contents or can surrender the box and cancel the contract at any time.
If you're interested in renting a safe deposit box with us, you'll be glad to know that most TD Bank Store locations offer these for your convenience. You're welcome to see http://bit.ly/TDStores to find the addresses and contact information for our Stores nearest you.
To determine availability of a Safe Deposit Box in the size you prefer, we suggest contacting the Store directly, as this can vary by location. Or if you prefer, feel free to call a friendly Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 888-751-9000 with any questions you may have, and who can also schedule and appointment for you at your preferred Store!
To open a joint safe deposit box, both renters of the safe deposit box should be present at the time of account opening with valid identification (such as Driver's License, Passport or State ID) and Social Security numbers. Please also keep in mind that our safe deposit boxes can be rented by TD Bank Customers only, as availability is limited. Please also note, we will need the Social Security number of both renters.
We hope this helps answer your question, Toni. Have a great day and let us know if you need anything else.
