Thanks for sending us your question, Marsha.
Each signer on an account may have one ATM or Debit Card in their name to access that account. If you are the only authorized signer, then you could only have one Debit Card for your account; if there are multiple signers though, each one could have their own Debit Card to access the account.
If you have multiple Checking Accounts with us, you may have a Debit Card in your name for each account. Each card must have one Primary Account that will be used to make purchases or payments, but could then have up to 4 more additional Checking Accounts linked to it for ATM transactions. These are considered Secondary Accounts. In this case, you could access the same Checking Account from multiple cards (but remember this would only be for ATM use, not for purchases). This option could be helpful if you don't want to carry around both cards with you at the same time.
If you have any other questions about Debit Cards, please don't hesitate to give us a call at 888-751-9000 and speak with a Banking Specialist 24/7. You could also stop by your nearest TD Bank Store location found here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Just stop in during lobby hours and we can review your card and even link it to another account if you'd like!
Take care, Marsha!
