Welcome to the TD Helps community. We'd like to thank you for your interest in banking with us!
In order to open a business account with TD Bank, it's necessary to have a business registered within the U.S., typically within a State in which we have a presence. We're located on the East coast of the U.S. from Maine to Florida. Additionally, we should let you know that all business account opening is required to be completed in person at one of our Stores. We understand that you're in India and apologize for any difficulty this causes you.
If you will be in the States, feel free to stop by one of our locations to begin your account. We do recommend that you visit one of our Stores in New York and feel free to locate one here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. We highly recommend contacting your preferred Store prior to visiting, to ensure you have all the items needed to open your account. Kindly note that depending on the type of business you have registered (such as an LLC, corporation, etc.), the documents needed can vary and they can advise you of this when you call. The contact information for each Store can be found at the page just mentioned.
In addition to business documents, if your business account is going to have multiple signers, be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process. Those who are going to be signers on the account need to bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident alien opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification number for your business with you.
If you're considering this option, we suggest reviewing the types of business accounts that TD bank has to offer. If you take a look here: http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of business checking accounts we currently have. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988. Seeing that you're outside of the country, you may contact us from outside the United States via phone at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 and we can connect you. You could also click here: http://bit.ly/SWDqsn to request a call.
Hope this answers your questions, Vinay.
All the best to you and please let us know if we can further help.
