Thanks for coming to TD Helps for your answers today, Dee. This is a great question, and we'll be happy to further assist you.
At this time, you would need to be a TD Customer in order to cash a check that is not drawn on TD Bank. We offer many different types of accounts to suit everyone's needs, and would be delighted for you to join the TD family! Should you decide to do so, you may make your first deposit using this check, and once the funds become available, you would have access to withdraw the funds from your account.
We encourage you to view and compare our Checking accounts by visiting https://go.td.com/Wczmq0. You may also use our handy Checking Selector Tool by visiting the link here: https://go.td.com/2fhzGCi for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. We also offer Savings accounts, and we invite you to view and compare our different Savings accounts by visiting the link here: https://go.td.com/1hzzhPT. We also have a Savings Selector Tool, which you may view by clicking on the link here https://go.td.com/2qg3wZV.
Once you have decided on the type of the account you wish to open, you can visit www.tdbank.com or click the links provided above to take you directly to the account-opening application for the account type of your choosing.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank Store to speak with a Customer Service Representative regarding new account options. Should you choose this option, not only will a Representative be happy to assist you with finding a new account, but they'll also be more than happy to help you with your check and any questions you have. To find the TD Store locations nearest you, please visit, http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Please know that you will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D.) and Social Security number with you during your visit.
We hope this information was helpful, Dee. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
Customer Service Team, Mount Laurel
