I need a US bank account with a SWIFT code in order to receive payment or freelance assignments from European clients. The TD Simple Savings account seems to meet that requirement, and looking at this fee list: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt it seems to indicate that personal savings accounts are not assessed fees for incoming wires. Does this also apply to international wire transfers?

Hey Ryan, thanks for joining us here at TD Helps. It’s great to hear you want to open a Savings Account with us. We'll be sure to give you information about our accounts and wire fees.
Whether you are initiating or receiving an international wire transfer, there may be fees associated with this type of transaction depending on what type of TD Account you have. The Simple Savings account is assessed a $15 fee for an incoming wire transfer. For more information on this fee along with what account qualifies to have this fee waived, please take a look here for our fee schedule: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We’ll also be glad to help you with the details you will need to start the process of how to open a Savings Account.

Just a heads up that to open the Savings Account you will need to supply a valid Identification (State License, State ID or Passport) and your Social Security Number. If you choose to open your account over the phone we will send you the signature card for you to sign in order to complete the process.
We hope this helps, Ryan. Have a wonderful day and let us know if you have any other questions.
