Thank you for your question, Carol. We'd be happy to clarify!
We are glad to inform you that you are able to have multiple beneficiaries on a POD (Payable on Death) account. Additionally, beneficiaries does not need to be present during the account opening process. However, the primary account holder will need to provide the beneficiary's full name along with Social Security Number and date of birth. You will also need to bring your Social Security Number and a valid Photo I.D. such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport.
We also recommend connecting with the Store directly for any additional information that may be needed. Once you're ready, please feel free to visit any local TD Store and we'd be happy to help! Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for TD Bank Store locations near you.
We hope this clears things up, Carol and have a lovely day!
