Hi Shiraz, thanks for connecting with us today! We're glad to answer any questions you have about our Bank-by-Mail option!
You'll be happy to know that we can certainly provide you with postage paid envelopes to mail your deposits in to us. Please call a Banking Specialist at 1-888-751-9000 to order them. We're here 24/7 to confirm your information and have them sent.
Additionally, if you are enrolled for online banking, you may send a secure message using www.tdbank.com. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." If you have not enrolled, please call us 24/7 at the same number listed above to speak with our Banking Specialists. If you are enrolled for our BusinessDirect online banking, you may use this link to logon http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8 and send a secure message.
Banking by mail is simple, and easy. All you would need to do is mail your deposit to the address below:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If you need to Fed-EX or UPS a mail in a Deposit to us, you can ship it to the address below:
TD Bank Bank by Mail 140 Mill Street Lewiston ME 04243
We recommend visiting http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ to learn more about our funds availability policy starting on page 38. Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
As an alternative, please remember our Mobile Deposit option is available for most iPhone, Android, and Blackberry devices and to Customers who have been banking with us at least 90 days or more. If you aren't familiar with the TD Bank Mobile App, you can find more information about it and even download the app here: http://bit.ly/1opBqUt.
The TD Bank Mobile Deposit does have limits depending on the length of your relationship with TD Bank. We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more information along with the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for TD Bank Mobile Deposit. Please also keep in mind that $100 same day availability for deposits do not apply to Mobile Deposits.
Hope this helps Shiraz. Please reach out to us though if you have any other questions about our Bank-By-Mail option or the TD Bank Mobile App or Mobile Deposit feature. Have a great day!
