That's a great question!
When changing your account type, the account title and benefits will change, but the account number will remain the same.
Switching your account type is simple and easy! You just simply have to contact us directly. Our Banking Specialists are available 24/7 at 888-751-9000. If you prefer you may also send us a Secure Message from your online banking profile to request a product switch. Please log in here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq and then on the left hand side of the page you'll see the option to Send a Message under the Message Center. If you're not yet enrolled in Online Banking, don't worry! You may enroll by using the link here https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security Number, ATM or Debit Card Number, account number.
As always, you may visit your local TD Bank Store to have your account switched to a Premier Checking. For locations and lobby hours closest to you, feel free to check out: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
If you'd like to review more information regarding our Premier Checking account, please check out: https://go.td.com/2AiQoqp.
We hope this helps, Kari!
