I had a TD Canada trust account for 6 years. Now I am moving to the United States and was thinking of opening an account with TD. Can I automatically merge both accounts so I can maintain easy transfers between accounts?

Thanks for visiting us here at TD Helps, Osama. We appreciate you looking to open an account with TD Bank and would be happy to help.
Before we begin, we invite you to review the different types of accounts TD Bank offers. Our TD Checking accounts can be found here: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd and our TD Savings account can be located here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. For a customized recommendation with our Checking Selector, answer the questions provided here: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7. You can also receive a customized recommendation for our Savings accounts too! Take a look here: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF.
As you mentioned you already have an account with TD Canada Trust, you may want to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking services. You can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at 1-877-700-2913. With this feature, you are able to do your banking without having to visit a TD Store! For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4.
When you are ready to open your new account, if you're still in Canada, feel free to open an account online through the links above. If you're currently in the United States however, we recommend reaching out to one of our Cross-Border Banking Specialists 24/7 at the number provided above. During the account opening process, you will need to provide your name, street address, date of birth, and valid identification to complete the account opening process. Please keep in mind that if you are a Canadian Citizen, your Canadian consumer credit profile will also be used to verify your identity.
You could also visit us during lobby hours once you're settled here in the US to open your account. You can find a TD Store location and their lobby hours here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps. Should you need anything else, please let us know. Have a great weekend!
