A few weeks ago I booked a hotel using my TD bank debit card. When asked to present the card when checking into the hotel I no longer had it because I had recently closed my account at TD bank and had joined a new bank. The hotel manager proceeded to refund the amount to my cancelled debit card so I could pay with one I had on hand. I called TD bank and they said I would receive the refunded amount in the mail but I have yet to receive it. It's been almost a week sense the refund has occurred.

We appreciate your visit, Kristin. We understand your concern and would be happy to help provide some information.
If your account is closed and you are expecting a refund, there are two options available on how to obtain these funds.
If you have another active Checking or Savings account with TD Bank, the credit will be transferred to that account. We'd like to inform you that when a merchant processes a refund to your ATM/Visa debit or credit card, it usually takes 3-5 business days to be credited. There are times when the funds may take longer to be credited to your account as the refund is based on when we receive notice from the merchant.
However; if you do not have any active accounts with TD Bank, that is okay! TD Bank will send a check with the amount of the refund to the address we have on file for you. In addition to the 3-5 business days for a merchant refund, please allow 7-10 business days for mailing. Please be aware that delays may occur depending on your Postal Office.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 888-751-9000. We are available 24/7 and would be happy to help!
Please know that we would like to assist you directly however, TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum and we do not have access to your account /personal information.
Have a wonderful rest of your week.
