Good morning, Alan and thank you for writing to us at TD Helps.
For security purposes, after a multiple failed attempts the debit card will be blocked. In order for the debit card to be reset we ask that you please contact us 24/7 at 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
There is also the possibility that a Travel Notification was not placed on your debit card prior to your travels. For your protection, we monitor your card's activity and we may decline any irregular TD debit/ATM, or credit card transaction that is attempted unless we are notified that you are traveling abroad.
If you did not place a notification, once we speak with you we can set one for you over the phone. Or if you are setup for Online Banking, another option would be to send a secure message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message she must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq . On the left hand side, there will be an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. Please include the travel destination(s) and travel dates. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you are able to do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need her Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your online account.
