How can I make sure the TD Bank check someone wrote me has enough funds in the accounts to pay it. I am afraid the check will bounce and don't want to deposit it for fear of being charged NSF fee to my own account.

We understand your concern, Amirah, and we'd be glad to offer suggestions.
Since you've mentioned concern about a check you were written, we recommend reviewing the item with a Specialist at your local TD Store. You can check TD Stores near you and their hours by visiting here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. During your visit, our Specialists will be happy to review the item for authenticity and make suggestions on negotiating the check.
If you don't bank with TD, we recommend discussing the item with your financial institution directly as they may offer additional solutions.
Enjoy your day, Amirah, and thanks for visiting TD Helps.
