I currently have an account with TD bank and recently purchased a cashier's check for a service I no longer need. The check was made out to the service, but as I said I no longer need it. Since it was purchased through my account, is there a way to cancel or rescind it? I still have both the check and the receipt for it.

We understand your concern, April. We'd be glad to discuss.
When you purchase an official check that was not used for the purposes it was intended for, you are able to bring the check back to your local TD so they can redeposit the funds back to your account. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope to see you soon, April. Have a good day.
