My mother wants to sign over a cashiers check from another bank to me for deposit in my TD account. She insists this can be done but I'm reading that it may not be possible. Can she endorse the check for deposit only in to my account? Its a rather large check so cashing it is not something we want to do. Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Barbara. We're happy to say that it is possible to deposit the check into your account.
To deposit a check, your mom must sign the back of the check and both parties must be present at the time of deposit. An Endorsement Authorization & Release from must also be signed and can be done at any TD Bank during lobby hours. Click here: http://go.td.com/TDStores to find a Store near you.
Please note; government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment from the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check.
