I have a number of questions:
1) I am a US citizen living abroad but maintain a US address and an active joint account with my wife. We need a credit card for emergency purposes. We live and work in Myanmar (Burma). In the past, access for card use has been limited by banks in this region, will we be able to use a TD credit card in this country?
2) I know that our current credit history might prevent us from meeting the minimums for the First Class Rewards card. Is it possible to eventually upgrade to the first class automatically or is this something we'll have to reapply for in the future and lose the rewards gained with a previous card?

Thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Jon. We'll be glad to answer all of your questions.
We are happy to inform you, when you apply and are approved for a TD Credit Card, you should have no trouble using it in Myanmar (Burma). For a complete list of all of the Credit Cards we offer, please check out: http://bit.ly/1cUjM2H.
If you decide not to apply for the First Class Visa Signature card and you were to apply and be approved for the Easy or Cash Rewards card you would be able to change that card later on to the First Class Visa Signature card and convert the rewards over to miles. If you apply and are approved for the Payment Plus card and decided later on you wanted the First Class Visa Signature card, you would have to apply for that card at that time.
If you have any further questions feel free to reach out to TD Card Services at 888-561-8861, available 24/7.
We hope this information helps, Jon. Have a wonderful afternoon.
