My account is under my and my mothers name. I need to order checks to purchase a home but it must have my name only. Can I order checks with just my name from the check site rd provides? And can I remove her name from my account but keep her debit card active?

Good question, Sandra and thank you for coming to TD Helps for the response. We're more than happy to respond.
If you and your mother are both account signers on this personal Checking account, you are able to order new checks with your name only. To do so, please reach out to our 24/7 Banking Specialists at 888-751-9000 or visit us at your local TD Bank Store, during lobby hours. After proper account verification, they'll be happy to help.
Now let's move to the second part of your inquiry, if you have a joint personal account with your mother and you do not wish to continue to share the account with her, the account must be closed first. You may open a new account with your name only at your convenience. However, we are unable to remove a joint signer from an existing personal account at this time. Once an account is closed, the debit card linked to that account will be closed at the same time.
Best luck to you, Sandra. Have a terrific weekend.
