Yesterday, 11/5/2015, I wrote out a check (# 1608) in the amount of $86.05. Unfortunately, I dated it Nov. 5, 2014. I just discovered the mistake in the date this morning. I had put the check in to be mailed, and my husband mailed it already. Everything else about the check is correct except for the year in the date at the upper right-hand corner. The memo at the bottom left of the check says the policy# and that it is for the November, 2015 premium. I hope your bank will honor it when it comes through. I don't know why my brain had me write down 2014 for the year instead of the correct year, 2015, but I feel might stupid right now! Is there any way that it can be cashed?

Thanks for connecting with us, Barbara. These kinds of things happen, no need to worry.
Although there shouldn't be an issue with this check since the correct year is listed in the memo. However, just to be on the safe side we recommend contacting the person or company this check was written to confirm if there will be any issues with the payment on their end.
