I issued a check on 12/7/2016 which has not been cashed yet but will be soon? Is it still valid? will there a problem in cashing it?
Please let me know

Welcome to TD Helps, Shweta. We'd be glad to discuss.
Checks that are more than 6 months old are considered "stale dated," but are still eligible for negotiation by the Bank. However, some business checks have an expiration date (payroll checks, government checks, etc.), which limits or extends the time period when the checks can be cashed or deposited.
If you are referring to the checks you have for your own Checking account, please note; your checks are valid as long as your Checking account information remains the same.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or your local TD Store. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this helps, Shweta. Have a good day.
