Hello Andrea, thank you for reaching out to us all the way from Argentina.
We understand that you need to close your TD Bank account as you have moved to Argentina; we respect your decision and can share some instructions with you.
If your account is currently at a zero balance, you may contact us directly via telephone. After account verification, our Banking Specialists would be more than happy to help. To contact us from outside the United States, please dial 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
In addition, if you are enrolled for online banking, you may send a secure message by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
If your account has remaining funds, an easy way to close the account is via mailed written request. You may request to close your account and have any available money in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your account number(s)
▪Your request to close the account(s)
▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A
Your Home Store's Address
Your Home Store telephone Number
If you are unsure of which Store is your Home Store (the Store location where your account was opened at), take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores for our Store locations.
Please know that business accounts must be closed in person at a TD Store location.
Hope to hear from you soon, Andrea. Take care!
