We're sorry to hear that you need to close your TD Bank account; however, we understand, and we'll be happy to help.
There are a few different ways in which you are able to close your account, and the methods available to you can vary depending on the balance in your account.
If your account balance is zero, you're welcome to connect with us directly, and we'll gladly process your account closure for you.
Our Banking Specialists are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000. Additionally, we notice that you're writing into us today from outside of the United States. Because of this, if you'd like, you're welcome to also call collect, with operator assistance from any landline phone, by asking the operator to dial (215)-569-0518.
If you currently have access to your Online Banking, you may also send us a Secure Message to request to have your account closed. To send a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
In the event that your account has a balance, please understand that we would be unable to process your account closure by phone or secure message until the balance reaches zero. However, please don't worry, as you're also welcome to mail a written, signed, and notarized request to us instead. Should you decide to mail in your request, you may do so to the following address:
