Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Lam! It would be our pleasure to guide you in the right direction regarding your account.
Based on your question, it sounds like you have attempted to close your account and that you would like to know if it is closed. If this is so, we recommend giving us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visiting us at any TD Bank during lobby hours. Once our Banking Specialists verify your account information, they'll be able to check on the status of your account closure. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
If it turns out that your account is still open and you'd like to close it, we'd like to let you know that an account must be at a zero balance for it to be closed. If funds are still in your account, you can make a withdrawal from a TD Bank ATM, make a purchase with your debit card for the entire amount in your account or write a personal check for the entire amount in your account to zero out the balance. Once your balance is at zero, you may give us a call at the telephone number listed above, visit us at any TD Bank during lobby hours or send us a secure message through online banking to request the closure of your checking account. Please note that it can take up to 72 hours for an account to close.
We sure hope this helps and let us know if you have any questions, Lam! Take care and have a good evening.
