During last summer I took participate in Work & Travel program and I needed to open account in Your bank. As I wrote in the subject I don't need this account anymore and I want to close it. Unfortunately my available balance is not zero. (it is $1,66). I'm not going to visit USA in following years so it is impossible to me to visit your store in US. I don't need this money. I just want to close this account to avoid paying fees in the future.

Welcome to TD Helps, Bartlomiej. We'd be glad to help.
If your account has remaining funds, the easiest way to close the account from abroad is via mailed written request. You may request to close your account and any available money will be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your name ▪Your account number(s) ▪Your request to close the account(s) ▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A
P.O. Box 1377
If you prefer, another option is to remove any remaining funds from your current location, such as via your TD Bank Visa Debit Card, check, or transfer. If you choose to use this method, once the funds have been removed, please contact a Specialist 24/7 from outside the United States by dialing 856-751-9000 or 215-569-0518 collect from any landline telephone.
You are also able to send us a secure message to close your account. . To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
It will be necessary to make a specific request to close the account once the balance is zero; please note, the account will not close automatically.
We hope this helps and have a good day.
