Hi Maria, thanks for submitting your question.
Based on the details in your inquiry, it sounds as though you are looking to close one of your TD Checking accounts. As it sounds like you have more than one account with us, to close one of them, we recommend transferring the remaining funds from the account in which you'd like to close to your other Checking account. Once the account has a zero balance, you may then request to close it a number of ways.
One way to request the account to be closed is by calling us from Russia by dialing 1-856-751-9000 or by calling collect, with operator assistance, by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. This call will have to be completed with a land line telephone.
If you use Online Banking, you may also send us a secure message to request the account be closed. Once you're logged in online, on the left hand side of the page, please click on Send a Message under the Message Center.
If you're not enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so for free by clicking: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, debit card number and Social Security number to get started. If you have any trouble with the enrollment, please give us a call at the numbers provided above for further assistance.
We hope this helps, Maria and please let us know if we can assist again.
