Good Afternoon, I would like to close my savings account. I've already cleared the account and submitted it for closing. My question is, it is a simple saving account so if I do not have a minimum of $300 on it, I will be charged a fee of $25 maintenance fee. My question is, will I be still charged that amount even after I put in a request to close the account? I know from other questions it will take about 3-5 business days to do so and by then, the next monthly cycle will go through. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your question, Jian. We'd be glad to discuss.
On some of our accounts, there is a minimum daily balance required in order to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. If your account falls below the required minimum, the maintenance fee would be assessed on the last day of your statement cycle.
We do offer different types of accounts, each of which has its own balance requirement. We encourage you to review our checking accounts here: http://go.td.com/1oXjGgF and our Savings accounts here: http://go.td.com/1hzzhPT to locate yours. Please note balance requirements apply to each account individually unless otherwise noted with "combined minimum balance."
Please know that if during your account closing a transaction were to apply, the closing itself may be unsuccessful. If you notice any transactions, including a maintenance fee, we recommend contacting us directly for help in closing your account. To do so, you are able to contact us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
In addition, if you are enrolled for Online Banking, you may send a secure message using www.tdbank.com. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
We hope this helps, Jian. Have a good day.
