Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question, Gwen.
TD Bank is required to retain Customer transaction records for a period of up to 7 years. As so many years have passed, we may not have a copy of this check on file, but would be happy to research it in case we do.
If you were a Customer of TD Bank and you know the closed account number it was deposited into, as well as the check information (check number, dollar amount, etc.), we can submit an additional research request to see if we still have an image of this check. If the check was not deposited into an account at TD Bank, but rather your account at a different financial institution, we recommend reaching out to them to inquire whether or not they still have record of this deposit.
To have a research request submitted, you may visit us at any of our locations. To find a Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. If you are a current TD Bank Customer, we can also submit a research request for you by phone. We're available 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
We look forward to talking with you soon. Have a great weekend, Gwen!
