Good afternoon, Renee, and thanks for bringing your concerns to TD Helps.
This is an excellent question.
When performing a deposit by mail, while receipts are unfortunately not provided, once the deposit post to your account, you're more than welcome to contact us in whichever method is the most convenient for you to request a copy!
You have a couple different options to make your copy request, and we'll be happy to provide you with all your options so that you may choose the one that works best for you.
First, if you're within TD Bank's footprint, you may visit a TD Store location during lobby hours to speak with a Customer Service Representative. In most instances, our Representatives are able to provide you with a copy on the spot! To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
If you're unable to visit a TD Store location, we understand, and would like to recommend that you either contact a Banking Specialists by dialing 1-888-751-9000, or send us a secure message. Our Banking Specialists are available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and if you'd prefer to send us a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq.
Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
Additionally, before connecting with a Specialist, it's important to note that a fee may be assessed when requesting a copy of your deposit. To learn more, we'd like to invite you to check out our Fee Schedule, which you can find here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg.
As you're looking to perform your deposit by mail, just in case, we'd like to provide you with all the information you may need to do so. When you're ready, you may mail your deposit to the following address:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, ME 04243
Like any other deposits, a few simple guidelines apply:
Cash should not be sent through the mail
Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
Checks should be endorsed (and restricted for deposit only)
Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
If using a blank deposit ticket, please write account number clearly
Do not staple transactions
If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at any of the methods mentioned above. We're always happy to help!
Thanks again for stopping by today, Renee.
We hope you enjoy the rest of your afternoon, and have a safe and happy holiday!
