If we decide to close an account in the middle of a statement cycle, do we forfeit the interest that would have been received for the portion of the statement cycle that the account was still open? Thanks for answering this question.

Hello Vincent, thank you for connecting with us here on TD Helps! We're happy to answer your question.
Generally speaking, the interest is compounded and paid monthly. With that said, if an account is closed before the end of the statement cycle, no interest will be earned for the current month.
As this information may vary by account type, to best assist you, we recommend contacting our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to discuss your specific account. Once your account information is verified, they can answer any question you have in regards to interested paid. You could stop into any TD Bank Store during lobby hours if you'd like as well. We hope this helps and enjoy the rest of your weekend, Vincent!
