Hello, My daughter is studying in Syracuse NY and has a TD account in Winnipeg, MB. She had to open an account in the US for her scholarship deposit. However we could not find a TD bank in Syracuse. Is it possible to open an US account in another city or through the web.She needs access to an atm for cash withdrawals and chequing etc.

Thank you for visiting TD Helps today, Loraine.
We'd like to invite your daughter to visit http://bit.ly/1ishIab to begin an account with TD Bank in the United States. Please click on the Get Started button on the right side. On the page which follows, additional information about the products we offer is available. She may use the Open Account buttons on this page to select her account and begin the application process. When opening the new account, she may choose a TD Store location which is the most convenient for her.
Your daughter may also speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 by calling 1-877-700-2913, who can assist her in opening the account by phone.
When she is ready to open a new account, she will need to provide her name, street address, date of birth, Social Insurance number and valid identification to complete the account opening process. Please be sure she keeps in mind that her Canadian consumer credit profile will also be used to verify your identity. For Cross-Border Banking Frequently Asked Questions, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1qPSm8A.
Once her new account is set up, your daughter may want to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking service as you mentioned that she also has an account with TD Canada Trust. She can transfer funds between her TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. If she'd like, she may feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at the same telephone number listed above. With this feature, she's able to do her banking without having to visit a TD Store!
We hope you find our answers helpful and please don’t hesitate to return to TD Helps if you have any further questions.
