My boyfriend and i have a joint account in the us, he is a canadian citizen and has an account with td there. If he is on both accounts why were we charged a 15$ wire fee on the transfer? Also can he do a cross border banking transfer online or does it have to be via phone?

Good afternoon, Jaclyn and thank you for coming to TD Helps with your inquiry.
As your boyfriend is a Customer of both TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust, he may transfer funds between his two TD accounts at free of charge. Please note: incoming wire fees may apply and will be rebated the next business day.
If you wish to learn more about our Cross Border Banking service, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at 877-700-2913. For Cross-Border Banking Frequently Asked Questions, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1qPSm8A.
Additionally, your boyfriend can view both accounts on the same web page through EasyWeb online banking. He will also have the convenience of accessing TD Bank Online Banking directly from your TD Canada Trust EasyWeb profile without having to log in a second time. However, funds transfers between his TD accounts can only be processed via telephone by one of our dedicated Cross Border Banking Specialist at this present time.
Thanks again for stopping by, Jaclyn. Enjoy the rest of your day!
