Good afternoon, Peter and welcome to TD Helps! We appreciate your interest in a loan with us; you came to the right place for information.
As a Canadian, if you're interested in a mortgage or home equity product with TD Bank US, you're more than welcome to apply. We'll be happy to view the guidelines for these applications with you. We also invite you to view more about our Cross Border Banking services here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4, and also see http://bit.ly/1jbFLvX to learn more about the Cross Border Mortgage process.
If your primary residence is in Canada and you're interested in a loan in the US for a second home or investment property, you're welcome to apply for any of these loans, and we'll be able to use your Social Insurance Number and Canadian credit history for this process.
If you desire for your primary residence to be within the US and would like a home loan with TD Bank, a different set of requirements apply. In this instance, you'll need to have been a resident in the US for at least two years, have a US Social Security number and at least two years of US credit history.
We welcome you to give one of our Cross Border Specialists a call 24/7 directly at 877-700-2913, who can answer your questions and also assist with an application. Please be sure to select Option 3, after choosing English (Option 1).
We hope this is great news for you, Peter! We're looking forward to talking with you more, take care.
