I live in the US and my daughter, a TD customer, lives in Canada with both a Canadian and US account. If I open a TD account of my own in the US, will I be able to send her funds without wire or other fees in Canadian dollars?

Thanks for coming by to TD Helps, Gail. We appreciate you choosing TD Bank for your family's banking needs.
Because your daughter has an account with TD Canada Trust, we'd like to invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1uK7kyx for more information. Our friends from the Social Customer Service Team located in Canada answered a similar question that we believe can help with your inquiry.
Also, our friends in Canada can assist you further if you have any other questions. Check out their page here: http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr. You can reach out to them 24/7 at 866-222-3456.
As an alternate option, once your new TD U.S. account is set up and you may consider our Person-to-Person Payment service via online banking, it may fit your needs better. With this service, you may send U.S. dollars from your TD U.S. account to your daughter's TD U.S. account. Once she receives the funds in U.S. dollars, she can contact our Cross Border Banking team to transfer funds from her TD U.S. account to her TD Canada Trust account at free of charge. For more information about our Cross Border Banking, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4.
In order to be eligible to use the Person-to-Person payment service, you must have a United States address, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security number and a valid unique email address. You must also be enrolled for Online Banking and be using a TD Bank Checking or Money Market account for the transfer. Please also note that Person-to-Person payment will only allow you to transfer funds from your TD Bank Account to any other individual's bank account within the United States.
Please note that there may be fees for the use of the above service. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1pADlWD for all of the exciting details.
If you are interested in opening an account with us, we invite you to take a look at our many different types of Checking accounts here: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool here http://bit.ly/KmmHe7 for help choosing a Checking account that is the best fit you.
