my father just recently died and he is the single cardholder. what should we do to cancel the card and not be responsible for the balance

We'd like to begin by saying that we are deeply sorry for your loss and we want to let you know that you can help him in finalizing his affairs as well.
To close out his Credit Card, please mail us a copy of the Death Certificate to TD Card Services PO Box 84037 Columbus GA 31908- 4037. You also have the option to send us the death certificate to 706-649-4883 as well. In your fax or letter, please include your father's full name, address, telephone number and the state and county of death. Please give us a call 24/7 at 888-561-8861 to speak with a TD Credit Card Specialist if you should have any additional questions.
