Welcome to TD Helps, Jackie. We are happy to assist with your question today.
We're pleased to inform you that you can use your TD Bank Visa Debit Card worldwide, anywhere VISA is accepted. You can also use your debit card to make cash withdrawals internationally at any ATM Machine that displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. Please note, ATM fees may apply; we encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country.
However, we do recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
So you don't run into any acceptance issues while outside the United States, we recommend contacting us to add traveling notifications on your account. By doing so, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. You may reach us 24/7 at 856-751-9000 via mobile telephone or calling us collect with an operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
You may also send us a Secure Message through your Online Banking to add these travel notes. To send a Secure Message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side of the page, you will see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." If you have not enrolled, please contact us at the numbers listed above. If you are enrolled for our BusinessDirect online banking, you may use this link to loginhttp://bit.ly/1rvBmq8 and send a secure message. If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates and destinations.
Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visithttp://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
