There are several ways to open an account with us and opening the account online is a great option that we offer!

Once you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number and one of the following: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit.
There are five steps with series of questions you will need to fill in during this account opening process online. The first step is the "Account Info," you will need to input the account type you are looking to open and whether you want a TD Debit Card or not. The second step is your "Personal Info." This is where you authenticate your identity so you will need your Social Security number and your Driver's license, State ID, or Passport for this portion. Step three is the "Disclosures" where you will be requested to view and agree to. Step four is your "First Deposit." If you have a current account, whether it is with TD Bank or another institution, this is where you can transfer funds into the new account for the first deposit. Finally, step five is the "Finish" portion. Review your information and submit your application.
Once your application is submitted, you should expect to receive your TD Debit Card via mail within 7-10 business days.
