I will be migrating to Canada by this year end as a Permanent Resident. If I convert my Indian currency (INR) into an international demand draft consisting of CAD, is it possible for me to deposit it directly into my newly opened TD Bank account? Does it involve any holding periods or any other complications? Can you pls guide me?
