I deposited a large check yesterday which the teller said would take 7 to 10 days to be available. When I checked my balance today, it is negative for the entire amount of the large check. Why? This has taken other money in the account from being available.

Thanks, in general is the negative balance because the check didn't clear? I will go to bank after work just trying to get some basic info now.
