My direct despit was deposited with the correct routing and account number but was tagged as a checking account instead of a savings account. The money has not been returned to my employer yet and hasn't showed up in my account.

As the direct deposit you mentioned was coded as coming into a Checking, while it was supposed to be coded as a Savings account, typically it would be returned to the depositor within 1 business day. In this case, if it hasn't been returned yet, we ask that you contact us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000 for further review. You may also visit a TD Store for assistance.
