Hi - my social security check was direct deposited to TD bank to a closed account. What happens now? It has been a week and they have not returned it to the treasury yet.

Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Jeanne. We'll be happy to help in the best way we can.
Typically the funds are returned to the depositor when a direct deposit is made into a closed account. With that being said, we recommend contacting the deposit for additional ways that you may receive these funds. If you should have any questions, feel free to give us a call, 24/7, at 888-751-900.
You're also able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours for assistance. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this helped answer your question, Jeanne, and please enjoy the rest of your day.
