Thank you for stopping by TD Helps, Marc! That's a great question and we'd be happy to answer any questions you may have about foreign transaction fees.
You'll be pleased to know that TD Bank does not charge any foreign transaction fees. However, when using this card for a purchase in foreign currency, our Customers pay the Visa exchange rate at the time of purchase. This rate is not set by TD Bank.
We'd also like to point out that fees may occur if you use your debit card at a Non-TD ATM; which includes balance inquires. Feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to view our Personal Fee Schedule. Please note that this fee may be assessed in addition to any fee assessed by the owner of the ATM or network.
Please keep in mind that if you would be using a TD Bank Visa Credit Card, foreign transaction fees may apply. To view the general terms for a Personal Credit Card, please see here: http://bit.ly/1klVfbF (Page 12). Kindly also note that if you do have a Credit Card with TD Bank or intend to, a Credit Card Agreement specific to your account is issued at that time of approval and may contain different terms.
Should you have any additional questions, you may reach out to us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit us at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
We hope this helps, Marc and have a great weekend! Take care.
