Thanks for your interest in an account with us, Lorena! We are happy to provide you with additional details.
Here at TD Bank, we offer many different types of Personal and Business Checking accounts. Currently, there is no set amount that you need to open an account with us to open a Personal account. However, some accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. To view and compare our Personal Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you.
Once you've made your selection of the account type, you can open the account via online, telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. To open the account online, click on the "Open Account" button below the account you choose and fill in the required fields. You can open an account via telephone 24/7 by calling our Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our dedicated Banking Specialists can open the account for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you. You will need to have a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
If you are a small business owner and would like to open a Business account with us here at TD Bank, we also have business products with all the features you need to help you achieve your financial goals.
In order to open a Business account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
Prior to visiting a Store, we suggest reviewing the types of Business accounts we offer. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of Business Checking accounts that we offer and will also include if there is a minimum amount needed to open the account. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions, Lorena and enjoy the rest of your day.
