Good day, Kelly and thank you for considering TD for your banking needs.
In order to open an individual Checking or Savings account with TD Bank, in the United States, you must be at least 18 years of age. It sounds like that you are currently under the age of 18; we do ask that an adult accompanies you at one of our nearby TD Bank Stores, during lobby hours to open a joint Checking or Savings account. For help locating a TD Store near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit you. To view and compare Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1g5vhXQ , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Please keep in mind that both of you and your parent or guardian will need to provide a valid form of identification such as Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc. and Social Security number. As you are a minor, acceptable forms of identification for minors includes; School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
Seeing that you're writing in from Canada, if you'd like to open an account with our affiliate, TD Canada Trust, we invite you to check here: http://bit.ly/1Bd1T2o for a similar question previously answered by our friends with our Canadian Team, up to the North.
