Saving & Managing Your Money
In reply to Meg, Medford
Hey Meg! Thank you for stopping by TD Helps and we appreciate you considering us for your banking needs.
Since you are 15 right now, typically you would be eligible to open a joint checking or savings account with a parent or guardian. If you'd like to open an account, your parent or guardian will need to bring a valid form of identification such as a State License, State ID or Passport and their Social Security number, and acceptable forms of identification for you as a minor would include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security card. Joint accounts can only be opened at a TD Bank location. Please check out: https://go.td.com/1f9DSJR for a TD Store near you.
We'd like to let you know that we also offer the TD Go card, another option you might like to take advantage of. The TD Go card is a reloadable prepaid card and it's a great way to help our teen Customers manage funds and for parents and guardians to keep track of their spending. It's easy to fund and money can be loaded onto the card by the account owner using a TD Bank Visa Debit or Credit card, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the TD Go card website: http://bit.ly/1wibSus. We invite you to check out the TD Go Card Terms & Conditions here: https://go.td.com/1rJtRa8 and also here: https://go.td.com/1zrVD2w for more details on our TD Go Card Guide which includes any fees applicable. The Go card can be used by teens age 13 and up.
If you'd like to get TD Go card, your parent or guardian can do so by visiting this link: http://bit.ly/1jWLKzt, which takes you to the "Enrollment" page and they can follow the prompts. If you have any additional questions regarding our TD Go card, please do not hesitate to connect with us at 855-219-8050. You could also take a look here: https://go.td.com/1gRpCay for some FAQs.
If you have any questions, we're here to help! Just give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and we'll be happy to assist.
Thanks again for your interest, Meg. Hope to see you at one of our Stores soon!
