I was wondering if I needed a TD Bank account for my TD Ameritrade account. Transferring money back and forth, can I do this with a Chase Bank account?

Hi Issa, welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question.
TD Ameritrade and TD Bank are affiliated with one another, we are different entities and we do apologize as our products are independent of each other.
Here at TD Bank we have accounts which not only offer low minimum balance requirements to avoid monthly maintenance fees, but also provide many convenient features and benefits at no additional cost. Check out https://go.td.com/2aHjRCr to take a look at our Checking account features. You can get a personalized recommendation by visiting our Checking Selector Tool here: https://go.td.com/1gAWlhY.
After your recommended account pops up, you will be given the option to open your account online, right then and there! You could also open your account by calling 888-751-9000 and speaking with a Customer Service Representative 24/7, or even stop by your nearest TD Store location to open it up in person! Find the location closest to you here: https://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Since you mentioned opening an account with TD Ameritrade, here is a quick link to their contact information: http://bit.ly/1ygWAX4.
We're always here to help, feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions! Take care.
