Hi Anna! Thanks for reaching out to about the new update. We'd be glad to help!
We have lots of great changes coming with our Online Banking update that we hope you'll love as much as we do!
We're happy to confirm that these changes will not affect your debit card or debit card PIN number, so no need to change that information. Where it comes to your online username or password, you may need to make some changes, but this is only if you've got certain characters in them. The following characters will not be allowed for passwords and usernames:
/ \ ( ) % - ; | # + = @
The good news is that there will still be some allowable characters! If you need to update your user name or password, it may include letters, numbers, an underscore (_), or a period (.).
As long as you don't have any of the prohibited characters, you won't need to make any changes.
If you do need to change your username or password, just log into your Personal Online Banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you have logged in, select the 'Customer Service' tab, which you can find on the upper, right hand side of your screen. Then, under 'Update Profile and Preferences', select 'Password'. You'll be asked to first enter your current password and then your new password twice. All the new requirements will be right there for you to see. To update your username, return to the same tab and select 'Username'. On the next screen, you'll be asked to enter your new username twice. Once you click 'Submit', you'll be all set!
As a reminder, be sure to remember your username. Once Online Banking is put back up on Monday morning, you will need to enter your username, even if you've had it stored in the past.
If you have any difficulty or additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! A Banking Specialist can be reached by simply calling 1-888-751-9000. For your convenience, we're available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, you're also welcome to visit a TD Store location during lobby hours to speak with a Customer Service Representative. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope you're having a great day, Anna!
