Welcome to TD Helps, Ping. We appreciate your question and are happy to provide more details for you.
Money Orders do have expiration dates. The validity of a Money Order depends on the escheat law of the State. They may be reported at abandoned property if not cashed within the time period provided by each State’s Abandoned Property Laws. This link: http://1.usa.gov/1r2hnzo can be used to search the laws by State. You may also reach out to the Abandoned Property Department at 800-281-0025 ext 6414 for more information. If you’re able to get confirmation that the Money Order is still valid, you can cash it at any TD Bank location. For Store hours check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Thanks again for writing in and feel free to stop by anytime!
