Hi Karla, thanks for reaching out to us through TD Helps! It's great that you're already starting your children's savings and we have a couple of options that could be great for your children.
We offer many types of Savings Accounts that can fit your needs. You may find it helpful to check out our customized Savings Selector tool, found here http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd. A popular account for minors that you may want to check out is our Young Saver account – it offers a great option to start saving for minors, while allowing you full control over the account as a Guardian. There's no minimum balance to keep and no monthly maintenance fees while still a minor. We also recommend taking a look at http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT for more detailed information on this, and all of the other savings accounts available at TD Bank.
Also, here's a link our Personal Deposit Account Agreement for you to view for more specific information about our account terms: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ.
To set up a Young Saver Savings account. You will need to visit your local TD Bank Store together with your child and you will be listed as the custodian on this account. To find a TD Store location near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please keep in mind that you will need to provide a valid form of identification to open the account, such as a State License, State ID or Passport. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.
As always, you can reach out to a Banking Specialist anytime 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 if you have any questions. Or, if you'd prefer to sit down and discuss your options in person, please find the TD Bank Store closest to you, during lobby hours.
Hope this helps Karla! If you have any other questions, just ask!
